Biography – Gautam Mazumdar
Gautam Mazumdar is a self-taught artist based in Mumbai, India, working under the banner Kreative on Kanvas. His practice spans sketches, urban sketches, watercolors, acrylics, and mixed-media experiments, often moving fluidly between detailed realism on paper and bold abstraction on canvas.
With more than 25 years of experience in advertising and broadcasting, Gautam brings a storyteller’s eye to his work. His background in visual communication, film, and design has deeply influenced the way he conceptualizes and executes his paintings. Each piece is rooted in both spontaneity and research—an intuitive response to emotion, balanced with a thoughtful exploration of themes and ideas.
Mazumdar’s art is non-representational, emphasizing the essence of emotions and concepts rather than literal depictions. His compositions are marked by bold colors, geometric forms, and improvisational brushwork, which invite viewers into a space of reflection and connection. Inspired by a global perspective, his influences range from the fluidity of Japanese ink painting to Western abstraction and Indian traditional detail, creating a fusion that transcends cultural boundaries.
Over the years, Gautam has created more than 100 works and has exhibited in both India and abroad, including two group shows in Paris and a celebrated solo exhibition at the Kamal Nayan Bajaj Gallery in Mumbai. His works are held in private collections among friends, family, and admirers who continue to encourage his journey.
Today, through Kreative on Kanvas, Gautam shares his vision with a growing global audience—online and offline. His dream is simple yet powerful: to see his art on the walls of collectors, enthusiasts, and art lovers worldwide.

REEMA MUKHERJEE2025-07-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gautam doesn’t just paint—he translates emotion into form. Every stroke feels intentional, every color quietly profound. His work isn’t loud, but it lingers. It doesn’t ask to be seen—it demands to be *felt*. A rare talent who paints the silence between thoughts.
